| | Bat Control | | | | | The first thing you should know about bat control is what—and more importantly when—not to do. The exact months can vary depending where you live, but you should never do a bat exclusion from the beginning of May until the end of August. Flightless babies may still be in your attic and you can trap them in, leading to a slow, painful death followed by a rotting bat carcass. This will make the guano seem like no big deal. The best idea is to wait your bat problem out, but if you have an emergency situation or simply can't put up with it any longer, pest control professionals may be able to help. Still, make sure you address this exclusion issue—a reputable professional should be up front about this problem, anyway. | |

There has been some talk that bed bugs can be eliminated by use use of Gentrol only. This doesn't seem possible to me. The bed bugs would have to be directly exposed to the Gentrol in order for it to be effective. Then there is the question of how effective it would be with the eggs. Any thoughts ?...
I am servicing a flour mill/warehouse facility. They are an organic facility so the products I can use for stored product pests are limited. They especially have a problem with Indian meal moth during the summer months. We have been using OMRI approved botanical products and pheromone monitors to help control them. The facility has no climate control currently and can reach temperatures of 80-90 degrees in the summer. They are looking at insulating it and cooling it. Would this help with their pest problem, and at what temperature would it help? ...
Are drain treatments legal? Are the products labeled as pesticides?...
