  Bat Control

The first thing you should know about bat control is what—and more importantly when—not to do. The exact months can vary depending where you live, but you should never do a bat exclusion from the beginning of May until the end of August. Flightless babies may still be in your attic and you can trap them in, leading to a slow, painful death followed by a rotting bat carcass. This will make the guano seem like no big deal. The best idea is to wait your bat problem out, but if you have an emergency situation or simply can't put up with it any longer, pest control professionals may be able to help. Still, make sure you address this exclusion issue—a reputable professional should be up front about this problem, anyway.

I have been told different ways and times to treat for worms in apple trees. What is the right way and the right product?...

I have a customer in a condo unit on the 11th floor who has had previous companies treat her home for a "mysterious insect". She believes there are tiny insects biting her only at her computer desk area. No signs of bed bugs, fleas, or ticks, but during my inspection of her 300 sq ft home I found a few plants with springtails. These plants were immediately moved to a permanent exterior area. The whole area was treated like a flea spray and thoroughly vacuumed for a weekly basis. She is still having the problem. We enjoy all of our customers and would hate to lose any one of them. Is there anything I should be more thorough on during my inspection process or something I could be missing here? ...

Are drain treatments legal? Are the products labeled as pesticides?...
